Master’s thesis carried out in the framework of LIFE WIRE
The 15th July was a great day for Mateo Postur, membrane pilot plant operations technician of Cetaqua. Mateo successfully defended his thesis, titled “Tertiary effluent treatment using membranes and adsorption technologies for industrial use” and has got a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
The thesis, carried out in the framework of the European reuse project LIFE WIRE, studies treatments for reclaimed water based on membrane technology and adsorption in order to make it suitable for industrial use.
Sandra Casas Garriga, PhD in Environmental Engineering and project manager at Cetaqua as well as José Luis Cortina, professor at UPC, were tutors that guided and encouraged Mateo in his thesis writing.
